Chemistry A-144

Course Description

This physical science focuses on the study of various types of matter, their physical and chemical properties, as well as the mathematical relationships that support these properties. Emphasis is placed on the development of critical thinking by using the scientific method in both lecture and laboratory assignments. Quantitative and qualitative analysis are required. The major areas of study in Chemistry CP are atomic and molecular structure, periodic table and properties, chemical bonding, conservation of matter and stoichiometry, gases and their properties, acids and bases, solutions, thermodynamics, reaction rates, equilibrium, and nuclear processes.
